1st Annual Rene G. Haley Initiative Snow Trip 2024

In February 2024, RGHI made it's 1st Annual Snow Trip to Ski Liberty, one of Rene's favorite local mountains and the place where he taught snowboarding. Following our mission to expose young people of all ages to non-traditional sports and activities, we sponsored six Village kids this year. We covered the costs for snowboarding lessons, equipment rentals, food, and transportation. We had a blast, to say the least! And Rene would be impressed, there were some pretty good first time boarders in our group.

This special opportunity allowed us to introduce children to a sport Rene loved. The event was hosted by the RGHI Advisory Committee.
