THE HUDDLE...A SIDELINE CHAT

The Rene G. Haley Initiative invited the Haley Village to an exclusive speaking engagement with a leader in our community, a friend and donor, Willie K Goode.

Mr. Goode is the President and CEO of the GCI/Goode Companies, Inc., one of the Mid-Atlantic region's largest privately held waste management and transportation companies. In 1991, Willie decided to lease a truck and start his own business; one truck, a belief in self, a spirit of entrepreneurship, and a strong vision, GCI/Goode Companies, Inc. was established. Today, the company has over 170 trucks serving 125,000 residents and 11,000 commercial customer stops supported by 350 employees.

Mr. Goode gave the group an up close and personal tour of his headquarters here in Prince George’s County, as well as tips and words to live by as an entrepreneur. Below, we have included a few takeaways from “The Huddle”…a sideline chat, with Willie K. Goode.  Stay tuned for more programs sponsored by RGHI.
