On behalf of the Rene G. Haley Initiative, we extend a heartfelt thank you for your incredible support of our 3rd Annual “I Don’t Give A 5K” walk/run fundraiser, held on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Thanks to your energy, generosity, and community spirit, this year’s event was a huge success. With 95 participants, we raised approximately $6,000 to support RGHI’s year-round community programs:
Annual Holiday Toy Drive
Fall School Coat Drive
The Huddle workshops for young adults
RGHI College Scholarship Fund
Special Thanks
We are deeply grateful to our partners and supporters who made this event possible:
3-on-3 Compete for donating our $400 cash prize
DJ Bazilio for bringing the beats and keeping the energy high
The RGHI Advisory Committee for their dedication and support
A special shout-out to our age heat winners: Taylor Graham • Julie Gallivan • Emmanuel Njoku • Neil Hunkins
And an extra round of applause to those who donated their prize money back to RGHI—your generosity helps fuel our mission.
The “I Don’t Give A 5K” is more than a race. It’s a joyful reminder of what community looks like when we show up for one another. While Rene “didn’t give a 5K,” he always gave his time, his heart, and his support—and it’s that same spirit we honor every year.
Thank you for walking, running, donating, and building community with us. We can’t wait to see you next year.
